Moni Gyrlas (or Agia Triada)

It is located 2.5 km east of Chora, on the road to St. Varvara. This historic monastery was founded in 1744. During the Ottoman period 20 monks from Mount Athos lived there. They also founded a seminary and a school to learn reading and writing.
